Capturing Drake’s intense yet cool demeanor, the globe-trotting treasure hunter comes to life with a hand crafted portrait, full range of articulation and ability to recreate the many dangerous encounters and absurd predicaments he’s most often found in.
Ready to set out for the fabled Atlantis of the Sands, the self-proclaimed descendant of explorer Sir Francis Drake has all of the clues he needs from an ancient map and the treasured heirloom ring he ‘kind of inherited’ around his neck. Sporting his famously half-tucked Henley shirt, wide cuff wristwatch, cargo pants, and belt with lucky horseshoe buckle, Nate is fully equipped for adventure in desert terrain with a hand-tailored shemagh tactical scarf, bandolier, and cross halter shoulder rig. Danger lurks around every corner, and while the rugged hero is capable of winning any brawl with just his fists, packing his trusty 9mm pistol and assault rifle guarantees that nothing can stop the thief with honor… not even spiders.
Vaulting over a ruined wall, Nathan Drake has never looked better than he does in this stunning statue from Sideshow. Featuring amazing sculpting and design, it’s a perfect tribute to the franchise we love.
The statue, clothed in real fabric and rocking his signature half-tuck, stands about 16 inches tall and looks every bit as stunning as you’d expect from the folks at Sideshow.
Uncharted fans can finally own a high-quality, extremely awesome Play Arts rendering of protagonist NATHAN DRAKE. Part of the Kai series, the figure boasts amazing articulation, additional hands and three weapons: the Dragon Sniper, an AK-47 and a pistol. Be forewarned, though: you can only carry two at a time.
We love E3 and live for the new releases, the leaks, the announcements, the keynotes and everything else that goes down at the biggest video game show around. Naturally, it’s nearly impossible to cover everything, but here’s a selection of our favourite demos released yesterday. Check these out!
WATCH DOGS by Ubisoft Montreal looks so awesome that we were almost a little sad to see him pull out a gun. It’s not that we don’t like shooters, but can you imagine an urban game where strategy and environmental control was all you had? Definite yes.
THE LAST OF US is an atypical zombie game where the undead are not only just infected, but have fallen victim to a ficionalised version of cordyceps, a monstrous, brain-controlling fungus that also gruesomely rips open the heads of its hosts. Naturally, though, the real enemies are the other humans protagonists Joel and Ellie encounter while trying to make their way across America.
Aveline is the latest assassin to join the franchise in ASSASSIN’S CREED III: LIBERATION and she’s absolutely awesome. This video gives you a closer look at her arsenal.
The motion capture technology used in the Uncharted games created characters who looked, moved and felt like real people. To capture that kind of natural flow, the folks at Play Arts had to go all-out in their creation of a Kai Series NATHAN DRAKE.
Standing about 8 inches tall, Nate features a ton of brilliant articulation and some incredible detail– just look at the stubble and the folds on both shirt and pants. It’s hard not to be impressed at the work that’s gone into the figure–throw in some awesome accessories, though, and this thing is probably one of the best video game poseables you’re gonna find out there. If you’re a fan of the series and can handle having Drake go solo–sand Sully, Elena, Chloe or Charlie, then this is definitely one you should be adding to your collection!
Here’s a great commercial celebrating the best of the best of the characters you’ve enjoyed on the Playstation. It’s an awesome tribute to them…and, in a way, to you!
