Boston Bruins goalie Tim Thomas says he didn’t attend the White House ceremony with President Barack Obama honoring the team for its 2011 Stanley Cup Championship because he believes the federal government “has grown out of control” and threatens rights and liberties.
Thomas said on his Facebook page Monday night he was exercising his rights. He said it wasn’t “about politics or party,” and he blames both political parties.
The veteran goaltender basically lead the Bruins to their sixth Stanley Cup and was MVP of last year’s playoffs.
Personally, I am siding with Thomas on this one….Occupy Wall Street!!! Screw the 1%….stand with the 99%. Oh yea, we also carry the hugely popular Tim Thomas NHL hockey figure….Check it out….word to your mother!
The Bruins win the hockey holy grail…the Stanley Cup. I watched the whole series and Boston looked great. In my opinion, they had the superior team and their goalie Tim Thomas was the key to their victory. Tim Thomas is also the NHL playoff MVP for 2011 (Conn Smythe Trophy). He would have won it whether the Bruins won or lost the cup. He really deserved it.
Right after the Big Bad Bruins win the cup last night, we saw some orders for the Tim Thomas McFarlane hockey figure. We currently have two different colored jerseys of Thomas.
From Series 24 of McFarlane’s NHL Hockey Figures comes a brand new Exclusive figure that collectors definitely won’t want to miss. If you’re someone who likes snagging all the available figures or just seek out the best of the best, grab this now! It’s part of the Pro Figures collection and looks absolutely brilliant; here’s a look!
This 7-inch figure of Boston’s TIM THOMAS looks rad and it’s a white-jersey-clad variant to the original figure while adding the very display-friendly feature of a complete net to be posed behind him.
