NECA’s 8-Bit Video Game Series gets fleshed out by Friday the 13th’s Jason

Clearly we’re getting into the pre-Halloween spirit pretty hard here at CmdStore, and we hope you’re as stoked as we are for lip-smacking treats and ghoulishly chilling toys. Coming right up for October delivery is the Friday the 13th NES Classic Jason Voorhies. He’s the newest offering in NECA’s 8-Bit Video Game Series, a nostalgically fantastic collection of all of your favorite scroll-screen memories.

The seven-inch figure recalls Jason’s appearance in the original 1989 video game and has over 25 points of articulation. A machete, axe, harpoon gun and removable mask, plus new mother’s head accessory, prove that NECA’s all about the details. Just check out the new paint deco, which brings back the game’s pixellated look, and the designer box flap, which plays original music from the game when you lift it!

Nostalgia alert! Two series of RoboCop vs. the Terminator 16-Bit figures

For many, treasured memories were created around systems like the Sega Master System and the Super Nintendo. The 1994 release by Mega Drive and Genesis combined the Terminator and RoboCop franchises to make one epic, hybrid game concept. And a decade later, it’s still making waves! Re-live the sheer magic of the 16-bit gaming experience with four NECA figures based on the cult game.

In Series 1, we have two versions of the feared Terminator. The T-800 includes a plasma rifle accessory, and the Endoskeleton comes with a standing heavy machine gun accessory. Series 2 includes the Rocket Launcher RoboCop and the Flamethrower RoboCop. Rocket Launcher Robocop is partially covered in sculpted flames, and comes with rocket launcher and laser pistol accessories. Flamethrower RoboCop includes a massive flamethrower accessory with removable “flame spray” attachment.

All four figures stand seven inches tall with full articulation, and are painted in an original deco scheme that pays homage to the 16-bit on-screen aesthetic. This attention to detail to make these guys as authentic as possible make these two series impossible to pass up. Save when you buy the Series 1 figures together, as well as the Series 2 duo.
