SCARFACE – 6-Inch Figures Series 2

Two NEW Scarface figureshave arrived as part of Series 2! Brought to you by Mezco, they’re brilliant renderings of the classic Al Pacino character.

These are “fully realistic” Tony Montana figures, a striking change from the stylized items we’ve seen before. You can get Tony in a blue or a white suit and he comes with both an M-16 Rifle and a pistol.

ARKHAM CITY: This Ain’t No Place for a Hero

The first official gameplay trailer for Arkham City has been released and it’s a stunner! Check it out:

Of course, while we wait for the game to be released, some of us are also waiting for the companion figures that make up series 2 of DC Direct’s ARKHAM ASYLUM collection.

Batman, Poison Ivy, Victor Zsasz and Bane can be pre-ordered now, individually or as a set. They’ll be shipping out in May of this year, so while there’ll still be plenty of time before Arkham City hits shelves, maybe these 6-inch figures will make the wait just a little bit easier…

SCARFACE’s Tony Montana has TWO new figures added to our existing Scarface section: one Tony wears his classic white suit and the other his blue, but both feature some absolutely amazing work by the folks at Mezco. He also includes some little friends, an M-16 rifle and a pistol, and features a bit of articulation to allow for better posing on your shelf! Now, these figures aren’t available just yet, but if you pre-order now, you’ll be among the first to get your hands on them when they roll out in March!

EXCITING NEWS! KOTAKU reports that Arkham City is the title of the follow-up to Rocksteady’s incredible Arkham Asylum! And the first promo pics have been released! Augh!

Batman: Arkham City, follow-up to the bone-crushing, dark Batman: Arkham Asylum, is in development for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 for a Fall 2011 release, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment said this morning.

The sequel, in development by Rocksteady Studios, has players taking Batman into Arkham City, the new maximum security home for all of Gotham City’s criminals. This new prison is described as a heavily fortified walled-prison in the heart of Gotham City.

The game will include story that “draws together a new all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight,” according to the press release.

Also coming up and something I will definitely snag as a fan are DC Direct’s Arkham Asylum figures. They’re based on the very-awesome game models and after having seen them at SDCC this year, I’m even more convinced that I need these figures–especially Harley and Scarecrow.
