DC Comics fans are about to be all agape over this Poison Ivy, specially based on The New 52 series reboot! Batman’s most lovely, most venomous adversary is here in six-inch format, clad in a skintight suit of leafy green and charcoal black. She’s also set with her signature fiery mane, of course. She’s an integral part of the collection of Batman’s enemies known as the rogue gallery, and she definitely deserves a place in the spotlight.
Whether her kiss is poison or antidote, one can never know. She comes in classic window-box packaging, already set for display alongside your other DC collectibles. Or free her from her cardboard-and-plastic prison and re-create the most memorable of comic-book scenes.
That girl is poison.
Renowned for his work on Marvel’s Captain Marvel and DC’s Green Lantern series, Brazilian artist Ivan Reis is in a class all his own. And now, with this exclusive collaboration between Reis and sculptor Mat Brouillard, you can own the Dark Knight himself for display among your other DC collectibles.
This stunning statue is crafted according to the aesthetic of the hugely popular comic-book series Justice League. Manufactured as a limited run of 5,200 to honor the quintessential New 52, this six-inch, black-and-white offering isn’t one to sleep on. Batman is encroached upon a fully functional display stand, with one foot off of the base and one foot on to create a “mid-movement” look. Harness the power of Gotham City’s hero now!
Who needs color, anyways?
Latest in the acclaimed line of DC Comics-based statues from Kotobukiya’s ArtFX line is Damian Wayne as Robin! The controversial anti-hero and ever-present sidekick of Batman tore up Gotham in the best way he knew how, leaping from serendipitous situation to cutthroat battle in his own haphazard way. Originally trained by the aggressive League of Assassins, Dick Grayson as Batman showed him a new way and revolutionized his crime-fighting know-how.
Check out this beautifully rendered statue, standing six inches tall in accurate 1/10 scale. Sporting a get-up of black, green, and shimmery crimson, the teen martial artist cracks his knuckles in a pose that means business. Topping it all off is a yellow cape to help him get where he needs to go, and Atelier Bamboo has done a fantastic job of sculpting this one to perfection. Pick him up today!
The perfect color scheme.
Equal parts spunky and kind of deranged, the lovably ridiculous Harley Quinn has broken herself out of Arkham Asylum and is running to meet you smack-dab in the middle of all of your other prized collectibles! True to the new Suicide Squad vision created by the New 52 folks, the “female Joker” features a blue-and-red ensemble and hairdo and carries a giant mallet, poised to strike. The delightfully weird former psychiatrist’s weapon of choice may be comically oversized, but comic-book fans have speculated that perhaps the hammer is cleverly weighted, allowing her to swing it with the use of centrifugal force. Or she really is superhuman-ly strong. Who knows? That’s part of the charm of this enigmatic ball of charisma.
Capture a piece of the absurdity with this six-inch bust by Jim Lee and James Shoop. Don’t delay on this one as it has a limited-edition run.
Hammer out the details.
From manufacturers Monogram comes this six-inch-tall bust bank! The New 52’s revamped rendition of the iconic DC star Green Lantern is shown here flexing and turning slightly to the side, fist clenched. He’s ready to contemplate his next move and dole out justice all at once. From the very first Green Lantern, Alan Scott, in 1940, to the 2011 re-working of the legendary jewel-toned superhero, this guy is an absolutely crucial member of the DC Comics roster. This bank will be shipping out in January, but you can reserve it now! Display this bust and use it to save up extra change for your next figurine — a statue, perhaps?
Taking the Green Lantern Oath to heart.
The Justice League Dark, known for their supernatural powers and their handling of matters deemed too extraordinary for the original Justice League, are an indispensable and unique squad. First announced in 2011 as a new First Wave title in the New 52 conglomerate, the “JLD” are now rushing to us in action-figure form!
The original comic-book narrative touches on more melancholy themes of the struggle and tension that the heroes experience in relation to otherworldly powers, and these 6 inch renderings evoke the dark mood appropriately. And this is even more exciting given that this past July, Guillermo del Toro confirmed that he was working on a screenplay for a feature-length film centred around the JLD. So much excitement!
