Brian Austin Green sued by photographer over alleged assault on the beach

Brian Austin Green gets sued

By Georgina Littlejohn

Brian Austin Green is being sued by a photographer who is claiming that he was assaulted by the actor.

Celebrity snapper Delbert Shaw is believed to be filing a lawsuit today which will state that he was brutally beaten by Green in an incident in Honolulu last December.

Shaw says he was taking pictures of Green and his actress wife Megan Fox in the Hawaiian city when they started verbally abusing him

He then claims that Fox shouted to Green, ‘are you going to let him get away with that?’ before he was approached by Green outside the Four Seasons Resort.

Green then allegedly attacked Shaw and began ‘pummeling’ him causing ‘severe’ injuries to the photographer.

Shaw also claims that Green then threw his iPhone into the ocean while Fox egged him on.

Shaw is believed to be suing for unspecific damages.

Jonah Hex 6-inch Figures Arrive! Plus, the Reviews are Coming in!

The Jonah Hex figures have arrived and fans will be pleased to know that they look great, with likenesses that manage to do justice to John Malkovich as Quentin Turnbull , Josh Brolin as Jonah Hex and, of course, fan favourite and femme fatale Megan Fox as Leila. Each one stands about 6 inches tall and you can expect weaponry from the film to accompany the figures. Not to mention some pretty sweet cowboy hats. Look for the figures over in our Jonah Hex section:

Josh Brolin as Jonah Hex
John Malkovich as Quentin Turnbull
Megan Fox as Leila
Set of all 3 figures

Now, we know the figures are awesome and the Hex figure would make a great buy for fans of the character even beyond the film. But unfortunately, it seems like the movie itself isn’t looking too hot as it makes its way into theatres… Right Celebrity reports:

Early Hex reviews have called the western picture the possible “worst film of 2010”!

First the plot – “The U.S. military makes a scarred bounty hunter with warrants on his own head an offer he cannot refuse: in exchange for his freedom, he must stop a terrorist who is ready to unleash Hell on Earth.”

Sounds pretty good so far, right? Plenty of possible action ahead, decent plot and with a great cast line up of stars from Josh Brolin, to Megan Fox, John Malkovich, Will Arnett and Michael Fassbender. Apparently the Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor penned story falls short thereafter due to the mix of sci-fi with reality. Brolin’s alter ego, Jonah Hex, and his ability to resurrect the dead for interrogation purposes conjured a few chuckles among movie critics, calling it “stupid, supernatural bulls**t”!

Here’s what ComicBookMovie.com had to say when it came to Hex:

“I dont want to give away the ending but I will say the final showdown between Turnbull and Jonah Hex wasn’t very climactic. And honestly that was my biggest problem of the movie was the rhythm of it. It has a good story line but it was not well paced. It was slow for too long so as the viewer you would loose interest in the movie. I wouldn’t go as far as saying its the worst cbm ever, but I will say it had so much potential and I honestly was really let down.”

One source also went on to say that “Even with low expectations this film was a complete and utter mess.” Overall opinions in regards to the plot just go from bad to worse.

“I can tolerate a mediocre plot as long as I’m not bored out of my skull, but Jonah Hex meanders aimlessly for the majority of its runtime.”

Toy Story 3 is sure to leave Brolin and his crew in the dust this week since the pair open on the same day!

“Sadly, there’s no fixing this one. The problems are deeply rooted, and can’t be solved with an edit. Massive reshoots would be required, and that’s not going to happen before the 18th of June.”

Just released: JONAH HEX TRAILER!

We recently made a blog post about the Jonah Hex figures currently available for pre-order, but then we hadn’t seen a trailer for it.

Now we have, thanks to MTV News

In a word, the movie looks ‘ridiculous’. Whether we mean that in a good way or a bad way, I can’t say. All I can say is that Will Arnett has a moustache, Megan Fox has an accent and Jonah Hex (Josh Brolin) has HORSE-MOUNTED GATLING GUNS. I would suggest that your reaction to that phrase will suggest whether this is a movie for you or not.

Jonah Hex Figures: Josh Brolin, Megan Fox and John Malkovich

New Jonah Hex action figures have now been listed over at CmdStore.com. Featuring some really impressive likenesses of actors Josh Brolin, John Malkovich and, of course, Megan Fox, the figures stand about 6 inches tall and can be pre-ordered to arrive in May.

The film itself has been delayed a few times and there is some bad buzz surrounding it, suggesting that it might not be up to par with the kinds of comic book movies that have been released in the past few years. Naturally, I still look forward to anything from the DC Universe and that it’s chock full of cowboy goodness only sweetens the deal.

And you know what’s even better? Well, as a Montrealer, I’ve already been thrilled by the video game development that’s been on the rise here, but now I am ECSTATIC! GameFocus.ca reports:

Following their announcement of a new studio opening in Montréal, Warner Interactive’s president Martin Tremblay told us via a phone interview that the new Montreal studio will focus on developing games based on the DC Comics license.

You might not remember this but Warner formed a DC Entertainment branch last year to specifically make use of the DC Comics characters in television, movies, videogames and other media. Tremblay didn’t give us any additional details, however with movie projects surrounding Wonder Woman, Batman, Jonah Hex, Green Lantern and obviously Superman, let’s just say that the Montréal studios’ first project could be a very important one.

Stay tuned.

Crisis Averted: Megan Fox NOT cast as Catwoman

UPI puts to rest the rumours that have been flying today regarding Megan Fox’s casting as Catwoman in the third Christopher Nolan Batman film. There’s no doubt Megan’s got looks, but comic fans were definitely doubtful of her acting talent given her lackluster performances in other films. And when you’re acting alongside Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine (just to name a few), you’ve definitely gotta bring more than a pretty face. What we don’t need is another Halle Berry-style Catwoman, which made even big fans of the character cringe. So for all those concerned, here’s the real story:

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 26 (UPI) — Hollywood’s Warner Bros. studio is shooting down a report claiming actress Megan Fox has been cast as Catwoman in the next Batman movie.

“It’s rumor. It’s not true,” a studio representative told People.com of the British tabloid report. “There is no script. There is no project to be cast in.”

Fox, 23, is best known for her work in the two “Transformers” blockbusters. Her other film credits include “How to Los Friends & Alienate People” and the upcoming “Jennifer’s Body.”

Megan Fox Fans Fooled by ‘Wonder Woman’ Hoax

Meagan Fox as Wonder Woman

Ever since her breakout role in “Transformers,” 22-year-old brunette beauty Megan Fox has gained an enormous fanbase online. So it was big news this week when Wonder-Who.com revealed that she would be portraying DC Comics superhero Wonder Woman in an upcoming big screen adaptation. There’s only one problem: it’s a hoax.

In the “Holy Trinity” of DC Comics superheroes, one iconic character has been conspicuously missing from movie screens. Superman had his heyday in the 70s, Batman in the 90s, and both have been revived in the past three years. But Wonder Woman, the Amazonian princess with the magic lasso and invisible plane, has not had a live-action portrayal since the last episode of the TV series aired in 1979. There have been attempts in recent years to put together a film version at Warner Bros. Pictures shepherded by Joel Silver, veteran producer of the “Lethal Weapon” and “Matrix” franchises. “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” creator Joss Whedon was attached to write and direct, but he left the project for “creative differences” last year.

Then out of nowhere the Wonder-Who.com site appeared with an image of the Wonder Woman logo over an American flag with the words “The Truth Will Be Revealed!” below. As the days progressed, bits of the background were torn away to reveal the figure underneath. Finally, the image of Fox in full costume was unveiled, with DC Comics, Silver Pictures, and Warner Bros. logos in the lower right-hand corner.

Many movie websites ran with the news that Fox had indeed been cast in the role. It was believed that Warner Bros. was attempting to leak the information virally like they did for the first photo of the Joker last year for “The Dark Knight.”

The site is very well done, with obvious but accomplished Photoshop work on the Fox photo. It’s also up in the air as to when the “Wonder Woman” film will happen. The studio had indicated that the character would be a part of the “Justice League” movie that was in development earlier this year, but that film has been put on hold as well. However, Wonder Woman is getting a direct-to-DVD animated movie (see below) from the same producers as the successful “Justice League: The New Frontier” and “Batman – Gotham Knight.” Featuring the voice of Keri Russell (“Mission: Impossible III”), “Wonder Woman” hits shelves in February 2009. Megan Fox will actually be seen next in “Jennifer’s Body,” a horror movie written by Oscar-winner Diablo Cody.
