A brand new maquette has been released in celebration of the awesomeness of FIREFLY. Browncoats rejoice!
Sideshow Collectibles is proud to present the Little Damn Heroes (TM) Serenity Maquette from Quantum Mechanix.
One of science fiction’s most beloved spaceships isn’t a gargantuan battlecruiser or a sleek starship cruising the galaxies. It’s the workhorse Firefly-class transport, well past her prime with hardly a peashooter to defend herself, named Serenity.
QMx has recreated Serenity in 1:400 scale, measuring appoximately 8 inches long, made of dozens of parts, some as small as a millimeter. Her design, created using the shows actual CG files, matches the Firefly TV series version of the ship in every detail. Quantum Mechanix Little Damn Heroes (TM) Serenity Maquette is the perfect size for your favorite space.
The beautiful, sensual vampiress VAMPIRELLA has finally arrived from Sideshow collectibles. Sat astride a demonic skull, her gaze is beckoning, but her fangs are threatening– though we’re guessing you’d probably head over anyway.
The statue itself is a big one at the 1:4 scale and she’s dressed in real fabric clothing, albeit very little of it. Like most of Sideshow’s brilliant creations, Vampirella is hand-painted and finished, giving each one a little special something.
Emma Frost has never looked better than in this brand new Sideshow bust. Designed at Marvel and Sideshow’s Legendary Scale means that she sits atop her display stand at a full 13”. The detail is stunning– just looking at the delicate lace on her neck and bust, the ‘x’ detail on her zipper, the waves in her golden hair or the lines on her pink lips really drives home just how impressive this is. The paintwork is gentle and the colours soft yet warm, creating a strangely life-like quality to something that remains so brilliantly stylized.
A pair of awesome War Machine items are on their way a bit later this year! Check ’em out.
The WAR MACHINE MAQUETTE stands about 20 inches tall, striding into battle and looking absolutely awesome as he does. Based on the character’s striking, powerful look in IRON MAN 2, it’s actually the basis for the design of the film’s costume, used by the creators as a point of reference and now reproduced for the market. Battery-operated lights dot the eyes, chest and repulsors and add an extra touch of realism and accuracy. You can pre-order now and it ships in May!
The WAR MACHINE BUST is 25 inches tall, making it a life-size rendering of the character with shining eyes and a glowing arc reactor. Another item providing the basis of the real costume, it’s one that fans of the film’s design will definitely want to snag. The shoulder-mounted cannon also swivels to give the display a little bit of customiseability. Pre-order it now and get it in the 3rd quarter of this year!
