Heroes of the DC Universe: BATMAN BUST

You know that feeling when you see a new action figure, toy or statue and you realise, almost resignedly, that you are going to have to own it? Well, here’s an example of one item that’s given me that really specific feeling:

This Heroes of the DC Universe bust is an awesome tribute to the Dark Knight. Standing about 6 inches tall and packaged in a sweet window box (for you mini-condition collectors), it’s a great addition to your display shelf. Grab it now!

DAVID FINCH brings his unique style to the latest BATMAN: BLACK AND WHITE statue in our growing collection! Brought to you by DC Direct, the Black and White series strips the colour from the Dark Knight and presents an individual artist’s vision, drawing together some of the best-known, most talented creators and designers currently working.

This cold-cast porcelain statue measures approximately 6.5″ high x 6.75″ wide x 5.25″ deep, is painted in monochromatic tones, features a Bat-logo-shaped base and is packaged in a black and white box.

Batman ARKHAM CITY – Batman, Harley and Robin Figures

Batman, Harley Quinn and Robin (Tim Drake) have now arrived and are in-stock in our awesome Arkham Asylum and Arkham City section. You can grab them individually or as a three-figure set. The Batman figure is notable as it features an unmasked Bruce Wayne suffering from the very same ailment that afflicted the Joker in the game (and in this NYCC Exclusive variant figure), making it a great complement to the more healthy hero in the last game.

Batman Incorporated: Series One

Batman, Robin, Man of Bats and Knight are the first series of figures from Grant Morrison’s BATMAN INC. line, which saw the Batman universe multiplied internationally as the bat-cowl was franchised. All over the world, Batman and Robin had counterparts of different origins, races and cultures and it created a whole new crop of great stories.

In the first series, we get Bruce Wayne as a newly-reinstated Batman, Damian Wayne as Robin, the Native American Batman Man of Bats and the English Superhero Knight (of Knight and Squire). Each one comes with accessories, features multiple points of articulation and stands about 6 inches tall. If you were a fan of the story arc, you’ll definitely want to get your hands on one or all of these brand new figures!

Tony Daniel: Batman Black and White

There’s a new Batman joining the growing collection of Batman Black & White figures! Take a look:

The Batman Black & White statue collection has been a pretty amazing one so far, representing so many different styles from so many different artists that there really does seem to be something for everyone. As a character, Batman’s basic design is something that can be brilliantly modified in a myriad of different ways while still keeping the elements that make it truly iconic.

Batman Black and White: Toni Daniel

“The Battle For The Cowl” will always be remembered as a very weird time in Batman’s history, whether you loved it or hated it (personally I just found it way too convoluted and Marvelesque for my tastes). But what can’t be denied is that it was a pretty decent time for some pretty decent art and that’s exemplified here in a new Batman: Black and White statue from DC Direct:

Standing at 9 inches high, Batman stands on an emblem-shaped base and readies his grappling hook (with more skill than Batgirl, it seems) for action. The item is currently a pre-order and will be shipping in January of next year, a great way to cure the impending winter blahs.

The NEW figures for next week’s ARKHAM CITY are now available for pre-order and if the first images are anything to go by, fans are going to eat these up. Check out Series 1:

With a cowl-free Batman, a hard-rock Harley Quinn and a hooded Tim Drake Robin, this series brings a lot to the table and DC Direct should be very proud.

Each figure stands 7 inches tall and comes with character- and game-accurate accessories where applicable. They join the equally successful Arkham Asylum figures in this growing collection and will be shipping in December of this year!

And if you want something tailored for super-fans and collectors, then look no further than these…

The KAI SERIES Arkham Asylum figures from Play Arts. THese ones are a little bigger at 8 inches and boast improved articulation, amazing levels of detail and a number of great accessories. You should definitely pre-order this pair if you’re looking for a brilliant addition to your display shelf. They ship out in early 2012!
