Deadpool’s enjoying some additional popularity lately, with a rejuvenated comic series and an upcoming video game. It’s no surprise, then, that Gentle Giant has released another collectible featuring the Merc with a Mouth.
This new 6-inch bust is hand-painted, individually numbered and comes with a Certificate of authenticity. If you’re a fan, pre-order now and it ships out in November!
DeSean Jackson, Chris Johnson, Hines Ward, Ed Reed, Peyton Manning, Tony Romo, Adrian Peterson and Felix Jones are your line-up for this, the 24th Series of McFarlane NFL figures. They join a ridiculous amount of players who have already been immortalised by the action figure geniuses at McFarlane and, as usual, feature brilliant sculpting, bases modelled after the playing field and come individually or as a complete set of eight.
And if you’re on the hunt for Chase figures, here’s some info on this series’ COLLECTOR LEVEL lay-out!
There are some new JLA Classified figures headed our way and available for pre-order now. Check out the 6-inch renderings of Green Lantern, Superman Red, The Atom and Zoom over at Cmdstore.com. It’s worth checking out for any DC Fans seeking the perfect figure to complete their character collection.
And in another stroke of good luck for fans, I was checking out Kotaku (again) when I caught sight of a headline boasting SCREENS FROM AN UNRELEASED JUSTICE LEAGE VIDEO GAME! Check this out:
Is DC Comics’ Justice League getting a video game adaptation to go along with the George Miller directed, big budget feature film?
While the big screen version of Justice League may be experiencing a bumpy ride in its trip to theatres, it appears, based on a batch of screen shots sent our way by an anonymous tipster, that the video game is already in production. While the majority of the shots feature game environments, logos for characters like Batman and Wonder Woman can be seen in some. The Flash and what appears to be Wonder Woman appear in others.

Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury is easily the most popular item from the newly-arrived series 23 of McFarlane’s NHL Hockey Figures. The 25 year-old goaltender’s 6-inch figure is flying off our shelves at a rate that would be surprising were he not among the most exciting players in hockey today. A Stanley Cup winner, his moves on the ice have been nothing short of dazzling, originating what is now referred to as he “Secret Service Save”. As one would hope, this figure of Fleury includes a miniature version of the Cup itself that can be placed in his hands and held aloft for the crowds to see. Definitely worth a look if you’re a fan of the team, whether you grab the original figure or its rare variant.
Also included in this series are a few more hockey greats: Alexander Ovechkin, Gordie Howe, Bobby Orr, Luke Schenn and Teemu Selanne in a few different outfits for good measure. The variants, of course, are part and parcel of McFarlane’s new Collector Level program, which is their way of adding value to the line of figures with different versions and special accessories. For anyone out there who collects, take a look at this chart to know what’s what:
Noted awesome guy Benicio Del Toro’s next role onscreen will be in 2010’s The Wolf Man, a remake of the Lon Cheney original that’s sure to show a new generation what classic horror movies once brought to the table. And give Benicio fans (like me) a chance to see him take on a role unlike any he’s ever played.
And I’m more than pleased (and more than excited) to say it’s also going to be a treat for the toy collector in me, because the folks at Mezco, who previously brought us an incredible line from Hellboy and Hellboy II (as well as comic and series based figures), are releasing two Wolf Man figures featuring the awesome makeup designs by the legendary Rick Baker (look him up, you’re almost guaranteed to know at least some of his work!). There’s a 6-inch model and a 12-inch as well and both look spectacular. Check ’em out over at CmdStore’s Wolfman section or click the pic below!
