We’ve now gotten two brand new sets of Marvel Universe 3.75 figures in-stock and ready to ship out! Here’s a look at both:
Marvel Universe 2010 Wave 6 is the final group of figures from the last year, capping off the 2010 collection with five of Marvel’s finest.
Dark Avengers’ Hawkeye, Constrictor, Yellow Jacket (with mini Antman), Iron Man 2020 and the monstrous Thanos make up the sixth wave and you can grab them as individual figures or a complete set of five (the set boasts a savings of $21.80!).
And as we step into the new year, we can also welcome the first wave of 2011, featuring six figures:
World War Hulk, Spider-Woman, Spider-Man 2099, Captain Marvel, Doc Samson and Modular Armor Iron Man arrive, again available individually if you’ve got a few faves among them or as a set (for a savings of $10.95). They’re a great way to ring in the new year!
The second series of Predators figures has arrived! Take a look:
Robert Rodriguez helped bring Nimrod Antal’s directorial vision to fruition, producing PREDATORS earlier this year and creating a rebooted version of the vicious man vs. monster battle that audiences have been eating up since the Arnold Schwarzenegger original in 1987.
The new figures are the Tracker Predator, the Unmasked Berserker Predator and the Battle-Damaged Classic Predator. Each one looks as stunning as you’d expect from a NECA figure and comes with weapon accessories that allow them to be as deadly at 6 inches as they are above 6 feet.
Check ’em out in our complete PREDATOR section!
Fan of Beyblades? Well, we’ve got a ton of ’em: old ones, new ones and some available for pre-order if you want to make sure you guarantee that you get the latest and greatest of the spinning tops. Check ’em out in our BeyBlade Metal Fusion Section!
We’ve got everything from Dark Bull Red to Storm Pegasus Blue, Earth Eagle to the electronic Dark Wolf, plus launchers, assembly chambers, stadiums and more! If you’re a collector, you’ve come to the right place. And of course, if you’re a super-fan, then there’s even more to see in November when a brand new game–BEYBLADE: METAL FUSION BATTLE FORTRESS–hits shelves! If you haven’t gotten a chance to learn about it, here’s a quick demo review from Platform Nation!
Spinning it’s way to your Nintendo Wii and DS November 9, 2010 is Beyblade Metal Fusion-Battle Fortress. This upcoming game that you may recognize from the TV show or maybe you own a few Beyblades yourself is set to be a great game for fans and that is the only targeted audience I can think of. The game follows a game specific story that has characters from the TV show and you find yourself looking for answers as to where the worlds most powerful Beyblades are disappearing to. The game will have 4 player battle mode that will allow you to play with 3 of your friends or AI. The game is set to have customizable stadiums and various terrains to do battle.
I played this game on the Wii and that is where it should be played as you are attempting to knock out other Beyblades and progress the story. The function of the Wii controller is where this game should be played and I think fans that pick it up on the DS will be disappointed. Now don’t count this game out as there are a lot of fans out there of the TV series and the physical Beyblades themselves, but I found out that I am not in that category after playing the game.
Naturally, you’ll have to play it yourself to truly form an opinion, but for now, learn all you can! And check out the trailer right here!

Well, I’ve just gotten back from San Diego and I’m very pleased to say that it was an absolute blast, if a little lighter on actual comic content than I’m used to. Really, though, I suppose it’s just the way of things that TV and movies seem to have officially taken precedence over the comic book stuff and at least it’s bringing people into the show where they’ll discover the stuff they might have missed out on! Plus, with movies like Red and shows like The Walking Dead, it’s further proof that there’s a symbiotic relationship between the media forms and that is definitely a good thing.
But without further ado, I’ll get to the meat of this post, THE PICTURES! Take a look at some of the cool items, set pieces and costumes from the biggest con in the world!
And if you want a little more, be sure to check out our previous post on SDCC EXCLUSIVES!
Yeah…I know it’s kind of late but I finally had time to upload the pics I took at the Toronto Comic Con (2010) held at the Direct Energy Centre on the weekend of March 27-28, 2010. Lots of things to do and buy at the show.
The Wolfman poster above is one of a few American posters the studio released ahead of the 2010 film. It features the beautiful Emily Blunt and only the mere suggestion of the beast Larry Talbot (Benicio del Toro) has become. The other posters (seen here at WorstPreviews.com) feature a look at the monster himself, or at least at Del Toro, but theres something truly evocative and eerie about the absence of the Wolfman from the image: Blunt’s terrified Gwen Conliffe hides from something she can’t see and we the viewer are of little help, equally as likely to be surprised by his sudden presence as she. It’s a touch of class in a sea of posters that seem too desperate for attention.
But even it seems to pale in comparison to the French poster, whose minimalist approach and brilliant use of visual cues (the strength and weakness of the character, the Victorian styling, the secrecy implied by the fact we’re behind his back and, of course, the snarling wolf at the top of the cane) bring class, sophistication and genuine beauty to the tragic horror of the film.
I love it. It’ll definitely be the one that goes up on my wall even before the movie hits theatres.
And, naturally, because this is an action figure blog and I am hopelessly devoted to the pursuit of toys (and Benicio Del Toro’s career), here’s a link to pre-order Mezco’s brilliant 6-inch and 12-inch figures. I’ll be snagging these ASAP.
