If you enjoy a bit of old-fashioned zombie gore, then look no further! You’ve got everything you need right here.

The Left 4 Dead BOOMER brings the vile, explosive, undead behemoth to…well, we can’t say “life”, can we? He’s about 7 inches tall, comes apart (you love it!) and looks as repulsively awful as L4D fans would want.

Alice : Madness Returns Figures

February 12, 2012

Though the game might not have been the financial success we might have hoped, critics responded to its stunning design and artistic elements, the strangeness of the characters and the inventive, dark beauty to be found in every corner of London and its counterpart, Wonderland.

Alice, a Card Guard and the Cheschire Cat can be purchased individually or as a complete set of three. You can also snag Hysteria Alice, an exclusive rendering of her terrifying berserker form, blood red and bone white.

All of these figures can be pre-ordered now and will be shipping out in JUNE!

GOD OF WAR’S KRATOS by PLAY ARTS

January 17, 2012

A new Kratos figure is on its way this year! It’s a stunning rendering of the God of War protagonist, outdoing previous figures by bringing a level of detail that definitely hasn’t been seen outside of the game’s own designs. Being part of the Play Arts Kai series means that he also comes with a number of additional weapons and accessories to help you better display this epic anti-hero.

HALO: REACH – KAI SERIES 2

April 5, 2011

Kat, Carter and Jorge are the latest figures from Play Arts’ KAI SERIES of HALO:REACH Figures. The Kai lines are Play Arts’ deluxe collection, boasting extra high-detail design, a ton of great accessories and a larger-than-usual size of about 8 inches. As per usual, you can grab these guys as individual figures or as a complete set of three. They join the first series, which included Jun-A266, Emily and, of course, Noble Six him or herself.

Now, some Halo fans weren’t thrilled by the ending of Halo:Reach (and we’ll spare you the spoilers here!) and if you were among them, then you might like this Machinima video…

DC Unlimited’s WORLD OF WARCRAFT: SERIES 6

October 4, 2010

The Sixth Series of DC Unlimited’s WORLD OF WARCRAFT figure collection
has arrived! Each figure in the series stands at about 6 inches tall (though there are some serious variations between the characters–as you would expect from the different races and types) and they look absolutely great, highly detailed and looking absolutely brilliant–just like the video game designs upon which they’re based. As per usual with each series, you can get this 6th group as individual figures or as a set! Here’s a look at what you’ll be able to snag, now, which will tide you over until the arrival of the next few series of figures (pre-orderable now!) in our collection.

FORSAKEN QUEEN SYLVANAS WINDRUNNER

GOBLIN TINKER GIBZZ SPARKLIGHTER

DWARVEN KING MAGNI BRONZEBEARD

Coming in September… Halo Minimates and REACH

August 30, 2010

This September, we tart shipping out a series 1 box set of Diamond Select’s Halo Mini-Mates figures! A group of four 2.5-inch figures (with 14 points of articulation!!) based on the hugely popular video game, the Mini-Mates feature video game-accurate armour and accessories while still being anthing BUT game-accurate in terms of form! Master Chief, a UNSC Marine, a Spartan in White Scout Armour, and an Elite in cobalt Assault Armour make up this first series, but given the “collectibility” of something like this, I’m pretty sure you can expect this PX Exclusive to be the beginning of something big–and small.

We’ve also got some brand new stuff coming in from Halo Reach! These items start shipping in September, but you can already take a look at what’ll be out there with individual action figures, 2-packs and vehicles! Click the pic below to check ‘em out!

And if you’re still salivating over REACH, we’re pleased to see thatKotaku.com has a look at the latest live-action game trailer, but not a lot of good to say about it:

The Halo universe is famous for explosions and the colour purple. But pregnant British women? Never seen one of them in a Halo game before.

This is yet another live-action trailer for Halo: Reach, showing the lives of some of the citizens of Reach the day before the Covenant invasion.

They’re OK, but Microsoft, the more of these you put out, the worse they’re getting, and the less impact they’re having. The pointiest tip of the Halo fanbase may get off on seeing bickering civilians, but the majority of customers are in this for the explosions.

Watch it here!

New Year, New Arrival: Ratchet & Clank

January 12, 2010

The Sony Playstation and Playsation 2 seemingly came out of nowhere to trounce Nintendo in the 90s and early 00s (the balance has since shifted again with the unexpected success of the Wii) and brought a ton of new and innovative games with them. One such game was Ratchet & Clank for the Playstation 2. Here’s a quick description from the wiki:

The game follows the exploits of Ratchet (a bobcat-like creature known as a Lombax that is very handy with tools) and Clank (a diminutive sentient robot that befriends Ratchet) as they save the galaxy from several evil forces.

Sounds like a pretty average premise for a game, but it was the innovative worlds, characters and weapons that won the hearts, minds and thumbs of the gaming world. The game became a massively successful franchise and has come to include downloadable mini-games and character spin-offs on top of the full-length console adventures. Really, given the popularity of it all, it’s almost a surprise that it’s only now that DC Direct is releasing action figures based on the game! Check out the Ratchet & Clank collection over on our website to see the rest of the items (including the series’ villains and a new look for Ratchet), but here’s one now:

For anyone not yet into the game, what are you waiting for? Here are the links to grab it over at Amazon.com!

Resistance: Fall of Man – The Figures Arrive

January 7, 2010

Back in November, we featured a post about the DC Direct figures based on Resistance: Fall of Man. At the time, you could see the prototypes and place pre-orders for the upcoming figures, but now we’re pleased to say they’ve arrived and look every bit as good as we expected!

DC Direct has really been showing themselves to be experts in sculpting and design, exceeding much of what Marvel’s been doing and seeming to be leaning in a direction reminiscent of McFarlane’s work. That’s definitely a good thing for action figure fans, of course, since licenses like Batman and World of Warcraft are at the mercy of their manufacturers. Take a look at what they’ve done for this game!

The first series is comprised of Nathan Hale as well as a Ravager, Chimera Advanced Hybrid and Steelhead. You can snag ‘em over in our Resistance section. Or, if you’re looking for the game itself or its strategy guide, look no further than Amazon.com!
