A Diamond Select Release. Sculpted by Sam Greenwell. The newest Marvel Select action figure from Diamond Select is the Surfer of the Space ways himself, the Silver Surfer. Inspired by classic appearance of the cosmic character, this 7-inch figure comes with his board, as well as a dynamic display base that allows him to ride on it or pose with it. This highly requested character will be one of the fastest-selling Selects yet.
Thor, the Mighty Avenger, returns to the big screen this fall in Thor: The Dark World, and Diamond Select Toys has teamed up with Gentle Giant to capture his new on-screen look! Standing approximately 7 inches tall with 16 points of articulation, the new figure features the latest Thor costume, straight from the set of The Dark World, and an exacting likeness of Chris Hemsworth. The figure will come packaged with a detailed base that combines with Jane Foster’s to re-create a scene from the film. Comes in display-ready Select packaging, complete with side panel art.
Logan is leaving his past in the past, and moving forward with The Wolverine. Rather than a prequel to the original three X-Men films, The Wolverine visits the titular character after the events of X-Men: The Last Stand. Logan has ended up in Japan (an iconic location from the comics) and he finds himself presented with a cure for his mutant ability.
While the character took quite the critical beating after The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, there’s still something compelling about Hugh Jackman’s portrayal of the character. So much so, that we’re willing to give him another shot. This film appears to be much darker in tone and chooses to explore a side of the character audiences have yet to see. Release date is July 26th. Check out the trailer below:
A Diamond Select Release! Designed and Sculpted by Gentle Giant! The newest iteration of the Iron Man armor is now the newest Marvel Select action figure! Based on its appearance in the upcoming feature film Iron Man 3, the Mark 42 armor is Tony Stark’s latest and greatest, able to activate and assemble via remote synaptic link. This highly detailed Select figure stands over 7 inches tall, features 16 points of articulation and comes ready to display in the famous Select-style blister card.
With tendrils of purple smoke curling at his feet, it’s clear we’ve caught Nightcrawler mid-BAMF in this awesome 8-inch figure from Marvel Select.
As with the other Marvel Select figures, it boasts even more detail (check out that face!) and some amazing articulation. If you’re a fan of the X-Men or just Nightcrawler wherever he pops up, be sure to pre-order this guy! He ships in June.
An exclusive figure, this awesome masked Wolverine is the latest addition to Marvel Select’s awesome line.
Standing about 8 inches tall, his brown costume is a more muted (and more awesome?) version of the stark yellow and black outfit we’re used to seeing. He comes with a sweet figure stand and a Samurai base that makes us all the more excited for the upcoming Wolverine-in-Japan film, The Wolverine.
THE RHINO is the latest addition to the Marvel Select collection and it’s an awesome one. At 8 inches tall, it’s just oversized enough to go with any of the 6-inch Spidey’s you’ve got hanging around. Boasting some awesome sculpting by the folks at Gentle Giant, the leather-skinned juggernaut also features over 16 points of articulation– not bad for a guy built like a tank.
Hugh Jackman bares his claws — and some incredibly ripped abs — in this first official image from The Wolverine.
The movie, a follow-up to Jackman’s 2010 flick X-Men Origins: Wolverine, went off the rails temporarily in the wake of Japan’s Fukushima nuclear disaster. The film’s original director — Black Swan auteur Darren Aronofsky, who teamed with Jackson on artsy time-travel picture The Fountain — quit around the same time as the earthquake-induced meltdown.
New helmer James Mangold (I Walk the Line) then took over production of The Wolverine, which is currently filming in Japan. In the sequel, alpha mutant Logan, having spent his solo movie traipsing around North America, finds himself in Japan unsheathing his adamantium claws to shred battalions of samurai warriors. The story, scripted by The Usual Suspects writer Christopher McQuarrie and Mark Bomback, is based on a 1982 Marvel Comics adventure.
The Wolverine, which includes Will Yun Lee as the Silver Samurai and Svetlana Khodchenkova as Viper, is slated to open July 26, 2013.
