After 35 years of fantastic plastic standing tall in pop culture at 3¾ inches, Hasbro is releasing the Star Wars Black Series this year, beginning a new set of 6-inch figures that will feature more articulation and an increased attention to detail.
Eight figures are planned for 2013 – Hasbro will primarily draw characters from the original Star Wars trilogy of films while also bringing in key players from the prequels.
The first wave of four, just out now, includes Luke Skywalker in his X-Wing Fighter flight suit, fan-favorite droid R2-D2, bad guy Darth Maul and an Imperial Sandtrooper.
The 6-inch scale IRON MAN MARVEL LEGENDS figures are highly articulated with collector-friendly detail! IRON MAN MARVEL LEGENDS figures are also part of the Iron Monger Series Build-A-Figure collection. Each figure comes with a body part you can use to build your own Iron Monger figure.
Decepticon leader MEGATRON is the latest addition to the amazing Transformers Prime Dark Energon Voyager Class (that’s a mouthful!). Check him out and read all about him:
Each of these translucent figures is the result of exposure to Dark Energon, which twists the mind and powers the body, eventually corrupting and destroying the user. With the Decepticons trying to use the Dark Energon to take over earth, Optimus Prime and the other Autobots are forced to expose themselves to it, so that they are able to take on the Decepticons on their own terms. Will they be able to defeat Megatron and his crew in time for Ratchet to reverse the process, flush the Dark Energon from their systems and save them from a horrid fate?
Translucent figures show the effects of Dark Energon infusion – Unique paint schemes of fan-favorite characters – Autobots and Decepticons have taken on new faction logos: Autobot Dark Energon Defenders and Dark Energon Decepticons
Okay, so Derpy isn’t her official name, but it’s probably what you’ve been calling her if you’re a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. And now she’s finally been given the honour of an official figure by the folks at Hasbro, who released her as an exclusive at the 2012 San Diego Comic Con. Take a look:
You can grab her now, but be quick about it! She was the first items to sell out at Hasbro’s SDCC booth, so she won’t last long here!
Occasionally, your toy collection ends up needing a little context. It’s hard to keep Darth Vader looking quite as cool when he’s standing in front of your family photos, glowering grimly at your grandmother. Same with Spider-Man, getting ready to climb up a plain white wall, headed nowhere.
Fortunately, Sideshow knows that and wants to help you set up a much cooler backdrop for your G.I. Joe figures, at least. Check out the Pit Command Center:
The Pit Command Center 12-inch Figure Environment features:
* Intelligence Relay Transmission Module – Intelligence submission and relay station for teams in the field.
* CENTCOM Interface Station – Data transmission from various world governments, filtered through CENTCOM and dispatched to the JOE team.
* PIT Security Module – One of many security modules keeping tabs on the PIT’s perimeter as well as data transmission security.
* Raised vented computer platform – Platform allowing for unique layouts and display options
* Satellite Locator Video Display – Translucent pop up display transmission detainling COBRA’s whereabouts
* Drop Location Video Display – Translucent pop up display pinpointing exact location of the satellite recovery team
