THE AVENGERS are now available as a collection of 4-inch figures featuring just about the whole cast, including Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, Loki, Nick Fury and more, complete with a couple figure variants to mix things up.

Avengers 2 Sequel is coming

Avengers Cosplay Figures

We just took off work (don’t worry, we packed up all the orders before we left) and watched the Avengers movie this afternoon.  It was a very good Marvel movie.  Audiences have rated it an extremely high 9.0 on IMDB, and 96% of critics like it or love it.  I could definitely watch this awesome flick again, expect significant repeat viewings after a huge weekend opening.

Who is my favorite character?  Legolas….no, I meant Hawkeye.

Avengers Hawkeye Cosplay

**SPOILER ALERT** The Avengers end credit scene introduces us to Thanos, who smiles when he’s told that to attack Earth is to “court death”. Thanos in the comics is fascinated with death and nihilism. He kills millions on his home planet with nuclear bombardment before travelling to earth. He is capable of superhuman strength and can absorb and project vast quantities of cosmic energy, enough to obliterate planets. His most famous storyline sees him gain possession of the Infinity Gauntlet, recently glimpsed in the Thor movie (in Odin’s trophy room). Each gem of that gauntlet grants its bearer complete mastery over one aspect of the universe: Time, Space, Mind, Soul, Reality, or Power. We know that Thanos is not a villain in Iron Man 3, and appears unlikely for Thor 2. So it’s fairly safe to assume the set up is for the next Avengers movie.  So maybe exepct to see Warlock somewhere too….

The Avengers!

May 4, 2012

Okay, that’s probably not exactly what you’re paying to see tonight, but it would probably be a pretty cool movie anyway.

Of course, if you’re looking for something a little closer to the real deal, you should instead check out The Marvel Universe Avengers Collection and snag Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor and the gang!

Smell like an AVENGER

March 24, 2012

From Comics Alliance comes a preview of these amazing AVENGERS perfumes. I’ve been looking forward to the film and have often thought that I wanted to be one of the Superheroes, but until now hadn’t figured out a way to smell like one. Now, given what they spend most of their time doing, I’d imagine they mostly smell like sweat, but let’s pretend.

Of course, I’m still waiting for a Black Widow perfume, but I won’t hold my breath.

Marvel Select BLACK WIDOW

December 12, 2011

A bold secret agent who comes with a highly-detailed display stand and an itsy-bitsy Ant-Man, Black Widow has officially joined the Marvel Select pantheon as a stunning 8-inch figure. From the signature wristbands to the iridescent purple jumpsuit, she cuts a figure that’s both intimidating and beautiful, but, as with the creature who shares her name, she’s a deadly force to be reckoned with. Fans of the character should definitely snag this unique exclusive for a chance to get their hands on one of the coolest heroes Marvel’s ever created.

Plus, it might help hold you over until the Avengers movie brings Scarlet Johansson’s Black Widow to the big screen.

AVENGERS in NYC

September 25, 2011

Excited about the AVENGERS movie? Well, Movie Moron has a ton of photos to get you…well, even more excited!

Avengers Set Photos: Evans Looks Sheepish About His Costume…

But that’s okay, Chris. I’m sure you’ll look altogether less like a 4th of July novelty patriotic condom once the backroom boys and gals have worked their post-production magic on you and your Avengers super-chums. Speaking of whom, more pictures to follow of Johansson, Hemsworth, Downey Jr. and Renner, snapped during The Avengers’ recent stopover in NYC.

It was only a couple of weeks back that we saw footage of Evans and Chris Hemsworth, in their roles of Captain America and Thor, laying the smacketh down on some stuntmen as the Avengers shoot visited Cleveland; that Ohio city handily filling in the Marvel super-team’s regular stomping ground of Manhattan whilst, in all likelihood, simultaneously earning the production some lovely tax breaks.

However the movie has now shifted to the actual Big Apple and it looks as if just about the whole gang has made the trip.

BLACK WIDOW & WINTER SOLDIER 2-PACK

February 5, 2011

Black Widow & Winter Soldier make up the latest of the Marvel Twin Packs & Face-off box sets. Pairing the beautiful-but-deadly Natalia Romanova with Bucky Barnes’ Winter Soldier, the two-pack also includes alternate heads for each character, to allow a couple different looks. Both stand about 6 inches tall, feature a ton of articulation (especially impressive for the size) and look just great, ready for display by any Marvel fan.

And if you’re among those waiting for more from the Avengers team, then you might be pleased to at least have this to tide you over, from SoulCulture>’s write-up on the Empire Captain America cover:

“The First Avenger: Captain America” will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America.

Chris Evans will star as Captain America and Sebastian Stan will portray Cap’s sidekick Bucky in the film.

Joe Johnston has signed on to direct Marvel Studios’ “The First Avenger: Captain America,” hitting theaters on July 22, 2011. One of a continuing slate of films being produced by Marvel Studios based on the Marvel characters, “The First Avenger: Captain America” joins “Iron Man 2″ on May 7; 2010, “Thor” on May 6, 2011; and “The Avengers” on May 4, 2012.

Don’t forget kiddies….you can pre-order your Marvel Universe Captain America figures from Cmdstore.com.
