E.T. Has Arrived!

May 19, 2012

TWO new figures of E.T. have now arrived and are ready to head home with you. The dragged-up Dress-Up E.T. is joined by the more traditional Galactic Friend E.T. and available individually or as a set of two . The figures are about 7 inches tall, which comes as a bit of a surprise since he’s almost certainly smaller than most characters we usually see at a 6-inch scale. What we think it means, though, is that it’ll just be easier to see the awesome levels of detail NECA has put on these figures.

HARLEY QUINN’S REVENGE

May 17, 2012

If you haven’t already picked up the awesome Arkham City HARLEY QUINN figure, grab it now.

Because just when you thought the Arkham City DLCs were slowing down, they announced HARLEY QUINN’S REVENGE and now, at last, there’s a gameplay trailer. It’s mostly fighting, of course, with Robin finally getting a chance to shine in the city itself. Can’t say we’re thrilled that “Payback’s a bitch” as the tagline, but from the guys who brought you a version of Catwoman whose lines are mostly purrs and whose behind is her most celebrated asset, we’re not terribly surprised. Hopefully the gameplay will be awesome enough to keep us playing! Take a look:

May 16, 2012

You know that feeling when you see a new action figure, toy or statue and you realise, almost resignedly, that you are going to have to own it? Well, here’s an example of one item that’s given me that really specific feeling:

This Heroes of the DC Universe bust is an awesome tribute to the Dark Knight. Standing about 6 inches tall and packaged in a sweet window box (for you mini-condition collectors), it’s a great addition to your display shelf. Grab it now!

The TUMBLER BATMOBILE is Coming!

May 13, 2012

While we wait for the film and even the awesome DARK KNIGHT RISES action figures, there’s some very good news from MTV:

Christopher Nolan’s Batman film series is planning to go out in style.

In honor of “The Dark Knight Rises’” impending release, two of the most iconic vehicles from Batman’s arsenal — the Tumbler and Bat-Pod — are going to be toured around the country for fans’ viewing pleasure. The tour kicks off on May 12 in Arkansas and wraps up in Los Angeles on July 7, just in time to (hopefully) head down to San Diego for Comic-Con.

The official website for the cross-country jaunt is http://www.tumblertour.com, but fans can get updates and locations for the trip from Facebook and Twitter. The tour dates and locations are tentative for now, so if you’re interested in attending it’s worth checking out those outlets closer to when the vehicles are supposed to be near you.

The current schedule shows the tour stopping in 19 states as well as Washington D.C. and Canada. The website for the tour promises that more stops are to be added, so hopefully they’ll add more locations in the New England and Pacific Northwest.
